Biography: Born and raised in Füssen, Mayor Kaufmann has reportedly only left the city and the surrounding area to attend Universität München to obtain her degree in political science. Before running for mayor, Kauffman was on multiple boards, the city council, and other assorted local government agencies. If Kauffman supports something, many others will fall in line to support or be ousted by her supporters--she generally seems to know what’s best for the city and is well-liked. Her family is one of the older families in Füssen, and she has two children, ages 23 and 18. This is her second consecutive term as mayor.
